I could respond to each of the excuses with sound advice, but i will adress only one, the first one, "no close, no pay.
I believe this, when we as abstractors prepare a report on title and that is any type of report, it is our product untill paid for. A client as no right to use the information untill they paid for it and I believe with their use of our product to prepare any kind of Title Report or Commitment is enactment and pledge to pay for the product.we have sent.. Simply said once they prepare a commitment, or some report to their clien they have used the product which means they should pay for it, my product is not (without written agreement) contigent on closing.
Hey guys an enormus amount of discussion on unpaid invoices could be discussed, the above is just one element of the discussion that could be had on the subject. We are producing a product not providing a service.
