Maybe we should make up some kind of gas fee to off set the never ending increases. That way we could keep our standard work fees and add on a few bucks. We could base it off the number of miles it takes to drive to the home to do the appraisal or to the court house for the exam, which I am sure when ya'll made up the fees in the beginning things like that were accounted for. Oh, and we must not forget the "recording gas fee" (on top of the recordation fee) to transport the docs to the court house. $20.00 per mile sounds about right, eh???
Ok, ok, my bad attemp at humor I know, but it sickens me that lenders can get away with all sorts of new fees and much higher fees than I have seen in a few years. I too had one that filled the 800 block. I had to put some in the 1100 and 1300 sections because there were so many fees. Then the lender had a fit because they popped a 2nd mortgage on me and I apparently was charging a closing fee that was too high for their liking. And of course this is after I saved them $600.00 in Title "Junk" Fees on the first mortgage.
