Rob: My reference to ISO 9000 was at the least, sarcastic- these companies have very little as far as "title facts or information" listed on their sites-so they are ISO 9000 certified- that does little to make me feel any better about their ability to chain a title back and provide a detailed, complete search- like we do here , as independent examiners/abstractors. They usually have someone compose a very lengthy paragraph with a lot of "hot air" regarding the company and what it is they are alleged to be able to do- none of which actually has anything to do with being able to perform a title search or provide a consistent product to anyone- It is a wonder that the Big title companies were so easily fooled into jumping on board with the "Indian connections"- they must have been mesmerized by the fancy wording on the web sites!!! At least we can say we weren't!!
I think that most of these places are more like David has pointed out in his prior post- just dark dusty rooms with nothing like the web sites would have you believe- except a nice long description of what it is "supposed" to look like- maybe one or two computers with 273 on order- for a total published of 275!!! (worked for the Big title companies)
