I don't completely disagree with you about the media - and I thought Dan Quayle was unfairly abused over the "potatoe" (sic) incident. I really liked Dan Quayle and I was disturbed by the harassment he endured. It was a bad gaffe, but it was not significant enough to draw that kind of attention.
Unfortunately, you are doing the same thing that you abhor the mainstream media for doing to Republicans. It seems a bit disingenuous to find fault for their commentary if you are going to provide your own nitpicking commentary about Democrats. People in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones.
I understand that you are trying to make a point about the biased media coverage. But, two wrongs don't make a right... maybe a "right-wing."
And, I don't think the coverage so far has been too bad in this election process. Maybe Obama is getting off easier than Bush has in previous elections, but I don't think they have favored Obama over McCain. The media may be getting better. Their may be some that let their personal bias show, but I think they are fairly evenly divided. Of course, as November nears, it may get worse... who knows.
Best,
Robert A. Franco
