Make a copy of someone's loan document package!?! You MUST be kidding. Who'd be responsible if that executed doc set got into the wrong hands? What's wrong with our professional word and integrity?
There IS a polite way to say what should have been said in the first place: "No, I'm sorry I can't go back out for free due to something that was not in the original package. However, I'd be happy to take care of the problem". Your reply might be that "they can't use you any more", but there was no guarantee that they would again and I can't imagine that you'd want to continue a relationship with this kind of client anyway.
If I was asked to go back out and iif t was NOT my error, I'd kindly insist on an additional fee. Gas and my time IS worth something and my business model commands it.
