Oh come on, Charlie. That is ridiculous. I hope you don't really believe such nonsense. My dad was born in Mexico. His family moved here when he was an infant. If I were elected President do you think that everyone would be forced to ride around in lowered El Caminos and wear sombreros?
Obama's wife doesn't wear a veil and I haven't seen him arrive at a campaign speech riding a camel. Obama was born in the United States and he every bit an American citizen as you and I.
I haven't decided if I like Obama's policies well enough to vote for him, but I'm extremely disappointed in the fear and hate mongering that gets spread about the guy. If you don't like his policies, that is fine. There is legitimate concern about his positions on health care, the economy and the war. However, basing your vote on his heritage or religion should be intolerable to any true American. That is not the kind of America that I was taught to respect.
