Right-on Steve! I did the same thing, and CC'd his 2 editors. When I was in highschool I wrote a paper one that I did an all nighter to get done because I waited until the last second. It was flat and thin, with loose facts, backed up by one and only one shimmering fact. I was lucky to get the C+ I got on it.
This "story" was just like that, I thought of that old paper right away. The writer did little to no research, talked to a few people and "BS'd" the rest, or should I say most of it. Then to satisfy his need to "feel like" he did some research he looked up and ended his story with a loose deffinition of what an abstract is.
I want to have this guy's job. I know absolutly nothing about loads of stuff that I could not research and write about. And I bet I could BS my way through it just like this moron did.
Then the best part came, all the readers writing in because Micky the Moron has got them all hot under the coller because he knows how to type and they know how to read. "Abstractors" are a ripoff, abstractors are not needed, and the golden "I looked up on that there internet and it looks easy to me", yeah have at it buddy.
