Well... I have already talked to someone who thinks that the Federal Judgment Lien does attach to after-acquired property. So, I guess there is some debate over the issue. I think the safe underwriting approach may be to treat them as if they do, but I'm not convinced... yet. I will keep doing research and I certainly welcome everyone to provide their interpretation.
And, by the way, Jeanine, regardless of whether or not they do attach to after acquired property, I am glad you brought it up. I think that at the very least, a 20 year lien is definitely a good reason to do full searches!
