Some of you independent title agents and abstractors out there might want to learn more about a new association formed by and for independent title agents. This is one of the only non-profit groups working for the good of the independent agents. Most of the state land title associations are being driven by large underwriters who are swallowing up the marketshare and competing directly for their own agent's clientelle. This group looks like a refreshing change, and they might be just what this industry needs right now. Looks like they are small, but determined. Check out the website and blog. www.oaita.org
PS. I'm not affiliated in any way---just an interested bystander to the industry at this point!
