The market closed with a loss of 469 points today. Lehman Bros. stock was all but worthless. Greenspan said it is a once in a century disaster. Credit is tightening further, and economists now predict mortgages are going to get even more difficult for borrowers to obtain. Looks like things are going to continue in the red for a while. The only bright spot was the government's recognition that reform and regulation are seriously needed to prevent a re-ocurrence...including the housing market.
