Interesting thought. That hard part is knowing which Underwriter to call.
I wonder if Abstractor fees would fall under the Closing Protection Letter we have to "sell" to everyone now - not just for lenders anymore. Maybe Abstractors, Surveyors, and other 3rd parties should look into that - 9 times out of 10 the Realtor tells the buyer they don't need it but I bet something like this would change their minds.
