I actually answered a courthouse payphone last month and was the only abstractor present, and agreed to take the search.  Felt a little hinky, since I'd read posts about people who have burned bridges or are no-pays and disappear using land record's payphone to contact "fresh blood".  It was just under 30 days ago, so I have not worried yet about payment.  The person I spoke with was very friendly, I took the info and did the search on the spot, turned it in a few hours later.  Haven't spoken to anyone since, but again, not worried yet.  That's the only search I've done for them.  Anyone else?
