Relax, Kurt. the positive side of the economic down turn is that it is going to put the under capitalized, low balling, slow pay/no pay clients and work for nothing competitors out of business. When it is over only the strong will be left standing. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake again of pricing themselves to low and accepting work orders under any terms dictated to them. Let your competitor take all the $16.00 searches he wants. He would have to do too many in one day to do a competent job on any of them, and he is soon going to go belly up with those prices.
The signing agents are seeing it happen already. Scores of the problematic signing services are already gone. Most of the signing agents refuse to drop their fees. Instead they have chosen to get part time or temporary jobs until business picks up.
It is also nice to hear references in the presidential campaigns about penalizing employers that outsource work. Hopefully, they will be more than campaign promises.
