Labels tie you down.  I like to be able to point out the truth wherever it lies on the political spectrum.  I like to be able to pick and choose good ideas no matter where they come from.  I think that I am a true liberal in the traditional sense of the word, but unfortunately the right, mostly thru their talk radio juggernaut, has poisoned the word "Liberal" to a significant extent so that when people hear the world liberal, they think of Code Pink, militant environmentalists, Weather Undergound wanna-bes, Louis Farrakhan types, and other riff-raff.
