McCain's not the same as Kennedy or Feingold on any of those issues you mention. They cooperated on compromise legislation designed to garner bipartisan support. None of the legislation was very good with all due respect to everybody involved.
Bush is the President of the United States, McCain was his biggest ally during the last election and has been his staunch ally for 8 years with a couple of exceptions. I think he's relevant to the conversation. I know you'd rather talk about Reverend Wright, Father Pfleger, and Bill Ayers though :-p
