I've used MyFax (www.myfax.com) for several years, and it has worked quite well and economically for a solo law practice.

For a flat fee of $10.00 per month, you can receive up to 200 fax pages and send out 100 fax pages without incurring per page fees.  Other plans are available for higher volume users.
