Thank you, Wanda. It was a great ceremony with a reception at the Statehouse. I have officially graduated, summa cum laude, and I received the Thatcher Profitt American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence award for outstanding performance in bankruptcy studies.
The picture shows me being hooded and wearing a gold stole, for my law review service, and a red stole for my membership in the Military Law Society. A good friend of mine founded the Military Law Society at Capital University our first year. The group conducted several care package drives for our soldiers and an annual toys-for-tots drive.
Law school was a terrific experience - it has been tough, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it all. The day after graduation (yesterday), I met a few friends to study for the bar exam. Tonight, I start my bar review course, which is 5 nights a week for the next 6 weeks.
Bar exam is late July, I start my LL.M. (Master of Laws) classes in August, wedding is in October, I get the bar results the end of October, and then... maybe a little rest! Or... perhaps... some hard work to pay off the student loans I have amassed.
Thanks, again,
Robert A. Franco
