Robert, he cannot get sued due to the titie company causing the abstractor to apply a lien due to probable cause. Meaning the title company did not pay the abstractor which was part of the settlement fees or closing fees. If an abstractor did not get paid by the title company, this makes the title company liable for the lien. If the abstractor receive payment than the case was closed. Since the other properties had not been sold, the abstractor had legal right to place a lien on the properties in order to received payment for the completed searches.
