The problem is not in identifying the problem. We all know the pressures placed upon abstractors today between outsourcing of on line work to India and infighting among abstractors to get the remaining work at cut throat prices. The problem is how to combat the problem. As far as I can see it is a dying occupation. That is why I exited from it three years ago.
However, there still may be tools with which to fight. Organizing in a formidable but legal entity is necessary. Recognizing the weaknesses of the parties that exploit the abstractors and seizing upon the opportunity is paramount. Otherwise....find a new line of work before you find yourself in foreclosure.
