What is wrong here,    couldn't the folks just have picked up the phone

and made a call to verify the facts before digging into the wallet?  I

must be cheap, as nobodys getting me to send money unless I talk

to the person who needs it, the hospital, or the cops (in the case of

the "jail issue").  Hope I keep my mind in my old age. imho
