Robert, this particular local company sends out memos constantly, trying to add more things to do for them, which I have politley refused to do.  They've asked their independents to draw out metes & bounds descriptions, for instance, even for a limited and of course for no additional fee.  They once asked me to add them to my E & O which they later rescinded.  I told them I won't do any of these things.  I sometimes wonder if they sit in the office thinking of more ways to put more liabilty on the abstractor and to squeeze out more work for nothing.  It's ridiculous.  The fees they pay are already lower than what I typically receive and they don't pay for copies.  They want everything returned the next day.  I've about had it with them.  I already won't do their full searches. (Please, no comments about why I still do some of their work).

I appreciate your opinion...I feel the same way, do understand idem sonans & had already drafted a reply to the "memo" but thought I'd get opinions here before I send it off.  Thanks.
