I, too, hope this is vetoed.
Imagine the problems determining lack of coercion on the signer - there's no way to adequately assess this via webcam; also, verification of ID documents and determination of their validity via webcam - impossible; add to that the recordkeeping requirements - notaries will have to keep copies of these video notarizations for 5 years.
It also needs to be pointed out that one of the sponsors of this bill runs a software company for e-notarizations....hmmmm..
I hope the governor vetoes this - it was voted down last year for good reason - hope he sees the big picture and the fraud this can perpetuate and the problems it can cause.
