I'm sure the honrable Mr. Ahern and Mr. Franco can agree that Justice can be perverted at times.
I myself was in court just a couple weeks ago discussing payment to the ex wife where finances had nothing to do with my judge's decision. I went in looking for a decrease, and I ended up getting an increase, even though my finances justified under the law i was due a reduced support to my lazy ex-wife. (Oops, sorry got off track). The Judge didn't care for my attitude and even made mention in her decree. I was told to appeal, but why bother.... what's another 4 years of alimony right?
Anyways, I made the mistake of letting a friend pro-bono (kinda)(new attorney) my case and she ended up costing me some extra dough every month, ce'st la vie I suppose? No, justice comes to those who pay for it. Had i paid my regular attorney, I'd be saving money every month.
Angelo most likely paid more in legal fees than 10 people could make in their entire lives. People like Mozillo will never see the inside of a jail cell, unfortunately.
I thank god never did a stated loan, I saw no benefit, higher rate so you could lie about your income? Why bother? Full doc loan was 2 years banks statements. If you couldnt provide me with last 2 years W2, business filings or Bank statements, I thanked you for your consideration and told ya to head on out... like I said before, I blame is shared throughout the ranks. LOs, Borrowers, Banks and investors
