This is a nice example of a 1960 Chevrolet Kingswood wagon, based on the GM "B" body (Impala) platform of the same year. It was also available as a 2-door (Brookwood & El Camino). The top-of-the-line Nomad could be had for around $2,900.00.
I remember my Daddy buying a big Dodge station wagon every year back in the late 60s & early 70s. We used ours for towing our boat and for hauling construction materials. Those were the real family workhorse back in the day. I remember my mother teaching me to read using the billboards along the Interstates during our road trips to Tennessee.
Thanks for sharing, Leigh, this is a real treat for a car guy like me.
