I was just contacted by the owner of ACME this morning. She assured me that I will be receiving a check by the end of the month. I think that it was just an oversight that I had not heard from her via email. All of my invoices are less than 2 months old. I think I jumped the gun a little when I saw this post because of the scary economy and so many companies being flaky. The owner is a very nice lady who is in the same situation that we all are. She has not been paid by some of her clients and is taking the high road to make sure that she gets all of her vendors paid. She even offered to send me a check immediately. I told her that it was fine to wait until the end of the month because my invoices are not that old.

I felt the need to write this clarification because I don't want a small business to be adversely affected by this. We're all in this together and need to stick together.
