Hi All
5 months ago I purchased a condominium at non-judicial foreclosure auction sold by Property Owner Association in Houston, Texas.
The property has two delinquent mortgages from previous owner. Also, I purchased it subject to these liens.
Now, I want to sell the property and 2 closing companies demand that I provide “payoff statements” as part of closing documents. The problem is that I am not the original borrower hence the bank will not talk to me about these liens. The previous owner also will not cooperate with me. If I do not pay off the mortgages then cannot get title insurance hence not able to sell.
Question
How can I force the bank to talk to me about this lien without help of original borrower?
