I didn’t blame Bush. Read again (I know, its complex).
Tea Partiers are now through with their term. Tell me how they’ve helped the economy and the credit rating they also inherited? Are we better off since their election?
Single Presidents don’t create bad economic times and the office was not intended or designed to generate economic recoveries. Obama has not put salt on the wound, to his credit.
The Republicans, however, want to scrutinize the budget now and cut deficit spending without compromise. Where was their concern about spending when Bush put us into two wars? We’ve spent billions on “nation building” while cutting taxes, now is the time to intelligently spend billions by raising taxes to help suffering Americans who are unemployed or under-employed. Should the number one objective of the Republican Party be the defeat of President Obama (as stated by the Senate minority leader-McConnell)? Or, should the Republicans come to terms with the Democrats and prioritize other efforts-like job creation, housing relief, banking and free trade regulation?
