The first six years of my career (1980-86) were exclusively Oil and Gas. We spent a considerable amount of time obtaining subordinations from mortgagees and other lien holders. The issues addressed in the piece are nothing new to us in WNY and NWPA. I suppose, though, times are different now. Directional drilling, and monster sized fracs have raised the stakes considerably. I'd be interested in hearing from someone that's currently in the business.
