You should let him know that you will report him to the State bar, if he is in fact a licensed attorney in the State of New York, with enough complaints he will be in deep ka-ka. I know other abstractor's around the country have reported non-paying attornies and it worked.
You can also call Dunn and Bradstreet, if they can't collect your money it goes on his credit.
I quit doing their work in 2004 or 2005 because it was always a nitemare to get paid.
I strongly advise all of you to tell him you are going to call the State Bar if you do not see a check in a certain amount of time, because they will not stand for this.
