I would run “BARTHLOW, WARREN”, “BARTHLOW, WAR”, as well as “BARTHLOW, W”.  Those searches should return all of the Warren Barthlows/W. Barthlows in the system.   I would NOT run “BARTHLOW, JAMES” or “BARTHLOW, J.” unless I know that W. JAMES BARTHLOW is one of his a/k/a’s.
