The Trust Agreement sets up the Trustees and their powers.  Hence the Trust Agreement will answer your query.  Generally, Co-Trustees can be joint, and hence survive one another, but the Trust Agreement spells it out.  If the deed in states the capacity and it is in conflict with the Trust Agreement i believe the Trust Agreement controls.  Time to look up the issue in the hornbook.  My 2c only.
