[-] Armstrong Title / Abstracting - Larry Platt/PA (2 replies)
8/26/2016 7:13:57 AM (2058 views)

There have  been questions  concerning  posts by Tom Schmaus.   After doing some

digging in  Armstrong, Bulter, and Indiana  Cos., PA  the general  consensus  is that the company

is not a  broker but  a  head hunter business  based in Natronia  Height,  PA .  going by  Armstrong

Abstracting or Title.   It appears  they have a  history  of  false  starts, what appears  to be posting

for projects  that are questionable,   and a major problem  getting people  paid.  I was told  that a

coal  project they had in W.V. people waited from April  into June before  getting paid . It was

related to me  that you really don;t work for them  but for the company  they contract to.  Armstrong

takes on the project manager role. They are  famous   for  contracting for;  by the  parcel rather

than a day  rate.  One  lady told me their major  contract  company  is a  company based in

Kittanning that kept changing  the  reporting date, but somehow forgot to  tell the title  searchers.

When title searchers  asked  why they weren't  getting paid, the  reported  response was - " We

have other bills  we had to pay."   Really?  What do you  call the invoices submitted by Title

searchers?

As per the person relaying this information this  particular company seems to have a  problem

making  the connection  between  accepting  the work and paying for the same.   All I  had to do  is

ask out loud if anyone  knew who Armstrong Title was.  Folks  were  only all  to glad  to offer

information and tell of their experiences.   Take all of  this for  what  you think it  is worth.  Do your

own research.  Seems a  bit scary to me ......
