The concept of "Freedom of Speech" is often (deliberately) misinterpreted to mean one can say anything they wish at any time without consequence, and any effort to thwart that is "censorship". Censorship happens all the time, and only government is enjoined from practicing it. (Sorry, the debate on theory versus reality is in the room across the hall.) In real life, anyone may indeed say whatever they wish at any time and in any place. (Fire house / Crowded Theater conversation begins across the hall immediately after the current debate.) That does not mean they have a right to be heard, nor are they protected from the possibility that expressing their views will have consequences. Everyone hates censorship - except if course for the censorship of those things "I" don't like. That's different!to post a reply: login - or - register
