UNITED ONE RESOURCES, INC., SENIOR MANAGEMENT

The comments herein are in response to the various posts relating to United One Resources’ implementation of enhancements to our procedures when dealing with work tickets and returned searches.

A company that traces its business roots to 1918, United One Resources has grown its initial market footprint to a nationally recognized business.  One key aspect of this recognition is United One’s business platform and its relentless commitment to ensure competitive market practices through cutting edge technology. United One’s success can also be attributed to its team members and outside vendors.  Never losing sight of the fact that searchers are the foundation upon which our risk management business rests, we view searchers not as vendors per se, but business team members.  Pivotal to our growth is the interconnectivity of our vendor team members with innovative technology.

Because United One Resources constantly seeks ways to improve efficiency and turnaround time of title search orders, we’ve added the benefit of a bar code scan to the 1st page of all returned searches.  This change was created after careful planning as part of several processes designed to allow our company to become more efficient with not only our clientele, but also to mutually benefit our vendor “partners” by allowing us to accurately track work tickets and orders through coded timestamps from order inception to completion.

Should a returned search not have the bar-coded 1st page, the order would be misaligned to another report thereby combining the documentation found in both (or several) searches.  If this occurs, our internal staff would then have to manually rework each order and sift through the documentation, together with the need to reorganize and rescan the searches into the system, thereby resulting in unnecessary time and expense to correct the process.

We’ve determined that because of the extended time and services needed to correct a search internally at our end, coupled with the effortless assistance of the searcher to merely place the bar-coded page at the beginning of the transmission, our downtime and costs are substantially higher than the $5 assessment set forth in the new procedure notice.  Knowing that we are all human, we are equally cognizant of the fact that mistakes in the transmission may occur from time to time.   As such, United One’s imposition of the assessment will be looked at on a case-by-case basis.  (e.g., so as to avoid habitual digressions from this rather simple procedure.)

Implementation of this process is just one small aspect of our company’s growth.  The current procedure will greatly improve and strengthen our relationships with all of our business partners.   Investing in technology such as this will allow us to better track our client’s request throughout the order process and allow us to interact with our searchers in a more efficient manner—thus allowing the opportunity to forward more business to those on board with our growth platform, while at the same time giving those individuals who do not wish to be part of our extended team the option not to receive business from us going forward.

If you are a current vendor of United One, we appreciate your continued support in assisting us with our growth policies.  If you are not currently a vendor/business team member of United One Resources, we enthusiastically invite you to contact our highly trained and qualified personnel to discuss possible future business relationships.  We also actively seek your input with any comments or suggestions you may have so we can improve our processes and efficiencies with our valued searchers.  You can contact us directly at suggestions@unitedoneresources.com.
