Interesting question, David. We don't have anything nearly that isolated (or that interesting, I'm sure).  There is a small county that I work in from time to time that has a very large Amish population.  I have seen horse and buggies strapped to a hitching post in front of the courthouse on a brick street.  The population of the county is around 44,000... but half them are named "Yoder."  It makes title searching a challenge.
