I've gotten a few requests like this.  Generally, the red flag for me is the necessity of my providing them with a W-9 before I've gotten any orders.  I really don't want to deal retroactively with the fallout from identity theft.

 It's hard for me when it's this slow not to want to believe that this a new company out there with lots of work for me; but the whole "too good to be true" thing is ringing alarm bells.
