Yes, I miss the good old days. Never worried about other abstractors until I took a searcher under my wing when they decided to go out on their own. Sure, use my office, use my fax. I'll send you some orders along the way to help you out. Stole my client list and went down the line and called every single one of them. Screwed my head up for years.

Also lately companies are taking bids for average searches. I was telling a friend that I bid on a 7 search deal and she also got a call for the same deal. She told me she offered 25  less than me, which was a good bid and STILL didn't get the job. That tells you that some searchers are willing to do the work for peanuts. We use to stick together. Now it's dog eat dog. Very sad.
