I recall many years ago when a good client told me that they had someone offer to do current owner searches in one of the counties we covered for $33.00.  We were charging them $35.00 at the time and had just raised our price to $40.00 for everyone else.  We hadn't raised their price because they sent us a lot of work and we had a good working relationship. That good relationship didn't mean much to them, though. When I declined to lower our fee they dropped us over night.

I'm glad to hear that there is a sign of change.  I hope 2018 brings with it more people who care about quality and the value of an experienced abstractor!

Best,
Robert A. Franco
