I see your point about dressing.  While I'm not doing it to impress I just think old school.  Maybe it's the southern upbringing.  We were taught that when you're out in public to dress well.

And you're so right about the dusty old books, especially now that they aren't used like they used to be used.  Great goodness, remember when you would say, "ugh" under your breath when lifting them from below a counter?   I did!  "Lordy"!
