Most of the Circuit Court Clerk's in my area want proof of an actual office, not just a mail drop, before they allow a company to subscribe to the online system. Some of them have gone so far as to limit what is available online, so that only local examiners can be used to accurately search titles.
A lot of the jurisdictions we service still don't have 20 years of all records available online and a few don't have any plans to have all the indices we use put online. Some courthouses do not have all of the plats online. This is why so many of the companies based overseas still hire locally based examiners for title work.
The key is to not drop your prices in exchange for the promise of a lot of future work when overseas companies ask to have you as a subcontractor. Most of them do not want to pay local rates, but the cost of living here is much higher than it is overseas and people here can't live on what they pay there. I also don't allow my clients to run up large unpaid balances.
