Joanna, I am in the same boat. I have been independent since 2000. I used to put in 18 hour days, work all day at the courthouse, take a break to feed my kids and do all of the night time routine then start on writing up and faxing after everyone was in bed.  Now I have expanded to covering 7 counties and picking up extra ones as special favors on extremely slow days. I just got E&O a few months ago because a client said they had all of this work they were going to send if I had it. Bit the bullet, got the coverage, sent them copies, they said great and the crickets. It took me two days from the time I first talk to the potential client to getting back to them with coverage. Things are still slow here and I am contemplating getting out as the industry has changed so much.
