February was very slow for residential searches but we saw an uptick in commercial, agricultural, and due-diligence searches as businesses expand and consolidate and farmers head to the bank to get loans for this year's crop. I think we are fortunate to work in some of the most isolated rural counties in the US. Most searches of the type we are seeing right now simply can't be done online or by inexperienced abstractors so I think the fact we've been doing this since 1989 and always complete the search at the court-house helps out too.
