Keweenaw County, MI. That tip of land that springs north into Lake Superior and is just a short boat ride to the Canadian line -- America's first line of defense against the Canadian Invasion that is always a threat to our way of life! :-)
I do not personally search Keweenaw. I'm physically as far south in Michigan as you can get without actually being in Ohio or Indiana. But like all good Michiganders, I know of the mystique of the Upper Peninsula. Interesting factoid about Keweenaw: it can be impossible to get a WD. Seems 100 years ago, the timber company -- having removed all the trees! -- moved out and left the houses for the workers living in them...via QCD's. I've actually sent a couple of searches to the abstractor there where we cannot get a WD. I believe the timber company owned the land prior to patent. Oh, fyi, population of around 2,000.
