Until the consumer and the overall industry has 110% confidence in the blockchain technology, you are not going to see a significant impact.

People don't necessarily want to do all the work in selling or buying a house.  Can you imagine the consumer having to order the C/O, manage a construction crew, read, examine and interpret a title search, spend advertising $ to market their property, etc.??

Sorry, but the average person simply doesn't have the knowledge or even want the responsibility of all that.

And, blockchain "money" was not supposed to be hackable.  One of the BIG no-risk factors that the "inventors" pushed.  And we all know that indeed it can be hacked.  And then there is that pesky problem that you have to use a 3rd party "hard wallet" in order to spend your blockchain (creating another risk to your money)

And finally, most countries have their own legal tender.  What happens when a country says sorry, but you cannot override our money for your money?

Right now I see block chain as the new internet bubble.  Lots of money being thrown at "theories" but no solid proof of concept.  It may or may not survive.  The difference is, the internet ended up a low cost "investment" for the average consumer.

Buying Bitcoin at $11,000+ us dlls is a rich man's game.  In reality, the average American has less than $1000.00 squirreled away for savings.

I think this is a re-visit conversation in say, 5 years.   Sure, if you like the risk of the stock market, then blockchain can be fun if you have all day to watch it going up and down and buying short and selling long.

I just don't see practical application at this point.  Not even vendors accept it.  When place like Walmart does, then perhaps blockchain is here to stay.  My proof concept is Craig's List.  They offer it, but very few listings accept a blockchain payment.

It's all interesting, but when you can get hacked, lose your info and lose millions like the guy who had his old computer crash and some where in a land fill sits $10 MIL in Bitcoin - yeah, I kind like the feel of the weight of actual gold or silver in my hands.  LOL
