I am thinking about getting back into abstracting again in Maryland,and just wanted to know how the industry was doing? I stopped abstracting in 2012. I was in the business for 6 years.I have heard a lot of title companies are doing their own searches now. I wanted to find out what are the average fees charged for title searches as well.I also was trying to find out what has changed in the last few years in the industry.Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
