Oh, how I wish this story wasn't close to the truth. I have experienced many such demands here in Louisiana. The best was the time a title lawyer kept telling me to go back further, go back further. Eventually I told him I'd have to go to Spain or Cuba for the records, and wouldn't fly coach. I begged him to tell me what he needed - what the project was. Turns out it was a fence dispute. Residential. Not a joke.
