In my opinion, and it's just mine opinion & not personal, it seems like abstractors will have more work again.  I remember when everyone was upset because docs became available on line. That alone caused a lot of independent abstractors to lose their jobs. The thought was, why would a title company want to pay someone else to do what they can do themselves?  I don't know if it will be worth it to the title co to pay the on line search cost or to pay the abstractor's cost.  I hope that it helps the abstractors who actually have to go to the county will have more work due to this new system.  Again, not personal...just the way I remember it then.  Might end up being good again.
