We rarely do anything online as we don't trust online index only searches and pretty much only get the India rejects, so we use our researchers to do searches in the courthouses. But, if we have to look something up to help a researcher in the field, in all honesty, I like Kofile/Countyfusion. I hated it at first; but that was because I didn't know how to use it. Now that I do, I completely agree with Alix. It is probably one of the most user-friendly systems out there now.
USLandRecords drives me insane - always has.
I miss DDTS (? - or something like that) in which Licking, Stark, and Franklin all used before they switched. That was my favorite system.
Here in our home county in which we go to ourselves - Montgomery County, OH - they had the absolute worst indexing system ever (just as bad as Cuyahoga County!), but they switched to the Cott Systems a few years back (thank you sweet baby Jesus!), which is MUCH better than their old index. So I like Cott too. But we still use the abstractor books, that you don't have access to on that website, for accuracy, as you cannot trust online indexes unless you want to test your E&O. So there is still a lot of legwork on our end.
Laredo's Ava online system is just awful (and I've told them so...the tech agreed), but I really like their desktop - way easier and more advanced than their Ava. I abhor Ava.
Just take your time to learn how to use the Kofile/Countyfusion. You'll see it is user-friendly and much better than USLandRecords.
Happy Searching! :)
