From 2013 through this calendar year, I've completed 32 orders with Southern Land & Title. I've never had one issue with payment. When I have encountered unexpected issues in a few searches, I've had very polite conversations with all of the people mentioned and adjusted the orders where needed. 

Sorry to hear you encountered problems.
