A clean current owner in this area takes 20-30 minutes. It is about a 40 mile round trip to the courthouse for me. A lot of the companies that do the searches in this area are attorney owned and are located within walking distance of the courthouse. I really had assumed this was a fair price. When I worked for a title company the price was competetive. I assume it would be difficult to find out if clients would be willing to pay more.
